New U.S. Consular Agency Opens in San Pedro Sula

The U.S. Embassy in Honduras has officially inaugurated a new consular agency in San Pedro Sula, aiming to better serve American citizens residing in or visiting the country. This agency, which opened on Tuesday, will operate Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location and Services

The consular agency is conveniently located in the 1908 building, Barrio Río de Piedras. The office is set to provide essential consular services, including:

  • Passport Renewals: Assistance for U.S. citizens needing to renew their passports.

  • Support for Bereaved Families: Guidance and assistance for families of deceased individuals.

  • Services for Newborns: Support for registering newborns of U.S. citizens.

  • Consular Visits to Detainees: Mobilization of consular officers to assist incarcerated U.S. citizens.
