Ocean Light Roatán: A New Tourism Initiative to Boost French Harbour

The Ministry of Tourism, led by Minister Andrés Ehrler, recently met with representatives from Omets Investments, a firm specializing in strategic investment projects, to present Ocean Light Roatán, a new development planned for the French Harbour area of Roatán.

The initiative aims to invigorate tourism on the island by offering a high-quality and sustainable model, building on the success of the existing Ocean Light complex in West Bay. By replicating the strategies that have made the original project a benchmark for excellence, Ocean Light Roatán intends to deliver comfort, safety, and premium experiences to visitors.

This project is expected to generate new economic opportunities, attract investment, and position Roatán as a world-class tourist destination. Minister Ehrler emphasized that developments like Ocean Light Roatán are key to strengthening the island’s competitiveness, promoting sustainable development, and attracting quality tourism to Honduras.

With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and exceptional guest experiences, Ocean Light Roatán represents a strategic step toward enhancing the appeal of French Harbour and reinforcing Roatán’s status on the international tourism map.
