Cargo Ship Restrictions

The Office of Governance, Justice, and Decentralization of the Bay Islands, in coordination with the Deputy for the Bay Islands, complying with the ordinances issued by the Municipalities of Roatán, Utila, Guanaja and Santos Guardiola, informs the general population the conditions for the cargo boats to operate:
Before entering any vessel to the Port on any of the Islands (Roatan, Utila, Guanaja or Santos Guardiola) you must notify the Harbor Master's Office one hour in advance.
The crew of these vessels must remain aboard the vessel for the duration of the quarantine.
Every operator is obliged to have adequate facilities within their vessels so the crew can remain onboard during the quarantine.
The port captain, in conjunction with the Department Health and Naval Forces, will receive the vessels upon entering the Islands.
The crew members are prohibited from getting out of the boats during the quarantine. This applies to national and foreign ships, regardless of their origin.
The crew must have the sanitary measures dictated by the Department Health Region (masks, gloves, antibacterial gel, disinfectant, etc.)
The transportation of people other than crew members on board vessels is strictly prohibited. If this happens they will have to remain on board under quarantine and the sailings for the offending vessel will be suspended.
It is strictly forbidden to enter the Bay Islands of small boats (craft) that move supplies such as (Yuca, Bananas, bananas, etc.)
All vessels sailing to the Bay Islands must display the quarantine flag (yellow) as long as it is in effect.
The measures outlined in this document will be in force for fourteen (14) days, as mandated by the Ordinances issued by the Municipalities of Roatán, Utila, Guanaja and Santos Guardiola.

Communicado
La Oficina de Gobernación, Justicia y Descentralización de Islas de la Bahía, en coordinación con el Diputado por Islas de la Bahía, dando cumplimiento a las ordenanzas emitidas por las Municipalidades de Roatán, Utila, Guanaja y Santos Guardiola, informa a la población en general las condiciones para que operen los botes de carga:
1. Antes de ingresar cualquier embarcación a Puerto en cualquiera de las Islas (Roatan, Utila, Guanaja o Santos Guardiola) tiene que notificar a Capitanía de Puerto con una hora de anticipación.
2. Los tripulantes de estas embarcaciones tienen que permanecer a bordo de la embarcación por el tiempo de dura de la cuarentena.
3. Todo operador está obligado a contar con instalaciones adecuadas dentro de sus embarcaciones para que los marinos puedan permanecer a bordo durante la cuarentena.
4. El capitán de Puerto en conjunto con la Región Departamental de Salud y Fuerza Naval recibirá las embarcaciones en su ingreso a las Islas.
5. Queda prohibido que los marinos bajen de las embarcaciones durante la cuarentena. Esto aplica para embarcaciones nacionales y extranjeras SIN IMPORTAR SU PROCEDENCIA.
6. Los tripulantes deben de contar con las medidas sanitarias dictadas por la Región Departamental de Salud (mascarillas, guantes, gel antibacterial, desinfectante, etc.)
7. Queda terminantemente prohibido el transporte de personas que no sean tripulantes a bordo de las embarcaciones. Si esto pasa tendrán que permanecer a bordo bajo cuarentena y serán suspendidos los zarpes para la embarcación infractora.
8. Queda terminantemente prohibido el ingreso a Islas de la Bahía de embarcaciones pequeñas (craft) que mueven bastimentos (Yuca, Plátanos, bananos, etc.)
9. Toda embarcación que navega hacia Islas de la Bahía debe de exhibir la bandera (amarilla) de cuarentena durante el tiempo que la misma este vigente.
10. Las medidas expuestas en este documento estarán vigentes por catorce (14) días, tal como lo mandan las Ordenanzas emitidas por los Municipios de Roatán, Utila, Guanaja y Santos Guardiola.
